PENTECOST FRESCOES RESTORATION AND CRUCIFIX RENOVATION
Painted by Italian Master Gonnipo Raggi in the early 1900s, the priceless Apse murals at St. John the Evangelist Chapel were delicately restored and gold leafed to bring back their original splendor. Stencil work was added around the window frames of the apse in a harmonious color scheme. The existing crucifix was re-designed using more natural colors in the body of Christ, and the cross was adorned with a faux-mosaic texture with majestic golden accents. This restoration was part of a complete master plan for the renovation that later included a new and unique complementary tabernacle.
